Back to Bangkok

One last pool party in Siem Reap, before we set for the border crossing to enter Thailand again.



We have arrived at the Cambodia-Thailand border. Our luggage goes on large trolleys, while we continue our way to pass the border on foot at 38°C conditions. With the help of our guide we manage to enter the fast lane for entering Thailand. We manage to get through in less than 1 hour, whereas the other line would have taken 3 hours in rooms that have none to few airco.

And once arrived in Bangkok, we get to experience it in the 'non-Chinese New Year' mode. Soooo calm in comparison and you can actually see the pavement  😅

It's our last night as a group. We say goobye over drinks at the rooftop bar & pool.

Klong riverboat tour and Wat Po visit

As we have noticed, it's better to do stuff in the morning in Bangkok. In the afteroon it just becomes too much. At that point waiting lines grow exponentially, whether it being for going for lunch or visiting one of the many amazing sites in Bangkok. So 8AM we hit the road, starting a tour by boat on the Klongs (canals). An amazing trip along the many (mainly wooden) houses built into the canals. You also come across a huge Buddha statue and get a view of the Wat Arun temple complex. Next up was the Royal temple of Wat Po. Wat Po is the home to +1000 Buddha statues/images, from small to large ones, including a massive 46m long reclining Buddha.
